My favorite subject to photograph. I love the challenge they present…catching them at that right moment…no sudden movements…and the almost impossible…staying quiet so as not to spook them and miss that perfect shot.
Landscapes
Learning how people lived and what their everyday lives must have been like has always fascinated me. To be able to capture a moment in time whether it be a sky, a building, a farm, or just the amazing scenery that mother nature provides us is just one more reason why I love photography so much.
Portraits
To me, taking someone’s photograph should capture who that person is, letting them relax and just be themselves. Some people are naturals in front of a camera while others, like myself, are shy and self conscious in front of a camera. I strive to make a person look their best using angles that flatter them while letting them be in a surrounding that they feel comfortable in.
As you will see below, I also enjoy taking pet portraits. While not every animal enjoys sitting and posing for a picture, trying to capture them doing their own thing is a joy for me.
